Sarah: What are you thankful for?
You may have already seen it on Facebook. I first noticed it a few years ago myself. There’s a trend during the month of November: people are posting one thing they are thankful for each day of the month. The posts range from serious (last year my friend’s brother saved their father’s life) to sweet (adoring thanks for spouses), and silly (reality T.V.) to random (I tend to give a shout out to Chick-fil-A’s Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes).
It’s a great way to prepare for Thanksgiving and it is fun to see what everyone comes up with each day. We’re so quick to post the mild annoyances of our week; why not post about something we are thankful for instead? See how many of your friends you can get to join you. It makes for a great month of Facebook updates!
Day 2: I am thankful for the fall leaves that dance outside the windows of my office building. They remind me to take a moment to breathe.
