Carol: ObamaCare HHS Allows Sterilization Without Parental Consent

Under the odious, freedom-sapping HHS ObamaCare mandates, all health care plans — except those held specifically by houses of worship — must cover sterilization for all “women with reproductive capacity,” defining that term to mean any female who had had her first period (around age twelve).

LifeNews reports that many states require parental consent for sterilization, but some states do not.  That means in states without parental notification, under the ObamaCare HHS regs, very young girls could get sterilized without their parents being aware of it.

In other words, even girls below the age of consent — who would need parental permission to get an aspirin at school! — could conceivably (no pun intended!) be sterilized without their parents ever being notified of this life-altering decision.  Awful.
