Carol: Debate Jitters II

President Obama is very nearly on the ropes — but just like the night of the first presidential debate, I’m here with pre-debate jitters.

The media is so obviously searching for an “Obama resurrection” narrative — fit, of course, for the Obamessiah.  The secret, I think, to Mitt Romney’s success in the last debate is two-fold: First, he is a “man with a plan” (unlike the President, whose only announced second-term agenda is to raise taxes). Second, he was able to be tough yet respectful with President Obama . . . he was manly in the best sense of the word — assertive without being rude (hello, Joe Biden?!).

Townhall formats are a little trickier.  But if Romney can replicate even a portion of his overwhelming success the last time, it will be a very good night for America.
